Kingborough District Cricket Club

At the KDCC we offer junior cricket programs for boys and girls of all ages. Starting with cricket blast for 5 to 10-year-olds young cricketers can progress all the way through to our senior cricket programs. After blasters, we offer Hurricanes Junior League (HJL) Stage 1 girls and boys, HJL Stage 2 boys, HJL under 14 boys, HJL under 16 boys and under 16 girls, and Premier League under 16 boys. These programs are designed to provide a fun and safe environment for juniors to enjoy their cricket as they progress through the various stages as a junior cricketer. The club prides itself on providing quality coaching and engages players from the senior program to provide specialist coaching for our stage 1 and 2 programs along with their game day coaches. These programs are based on fair play for all and have parent involvement with scoring/managing and assisting coaches to create a wonderful inclusive environment for both players and parents.  After moving through stages 1 and 2 players progress into the under-14s roster and start playing on Sunday mornings. This is a great opportunity to play a slightly longer version of the game before progressing to the under-16s. The under-16 program offers 16s Hurricanes Youth League and also the Cricket Tasmania Premier League. The cricket premier league is played on turf and provides a great platform to transition to Premier Leaguer senior cricket.
